We are on a quest! We must travel the fjords and valleys of many great lands in order to find the ONE RING which can rule them all.

Yup...I'm going to NEW ZEALAND! This trip was conceived in my mind in 1999 during the college years. My friend Liza and I were supposed to go. However at the time we had no money. We now have money to go, but she has decided to do something called "higher degree", and is now in San Francisco. I have subsequently ditched her and am now going with other college friends (Jemima and Rudi--married). They will be on their anniversary. We may also share a room, but I figure I will get my own room every three nights or so...that sounds about right.


The people to the right are very strange. They were at Comic Con. We will not be emulating them. Actually I'm not sure we're really going to see very many LOTR sights, it's a bit touristy and gimmicky. But it might be fun seeing some of the set designs--and Rivendell...really want to see where Legolas grew up. Yummy, Legolas...
