Two most fabulous things happened yesterday. The first? I climbed 2- 5.10a's and a 5.10b CLEAN last night!! Sooo awesome!!
This is what is said about 5.10 climbs: "5.9 to 5.10 Still considered moderate in difficulty by advanced climbers but requires precise techniques, physical training and considerable experience to succeed. (Generally vertical terrain to overhanging) "
One of the 5.10a's I have been trying to get up forever and this time it just worked. The 5.10b was also cool because I've never done one before and the holds were like teeny, tiny, but I held on! Unfortunately this is what it did to my freakishly soft hands:
2 blisters and a whole lot of areas that will turn into callouses. That was all from just the one climb. But it was worth it! Man, that was such an awesome climb. Okay, when I get to the 5.11 level I'm going to think this post is lame. Still, very happy day.
Oh second really cool thing that happened--Yogurtland was empty. No line. That was strange, but a good surprise.
