Calm Before The Storm
DISCLAIMER: This is the day as I see it.
It's friday night and I am at home. What am I doing home on a friday night you ask? Well, two things: 1) I have to work tomorrow which is just crap and 2) my family was suppose to arrive at my doorstep in the afternoon today. I have found out the Abell section of my family will be arriving around 11pm and the parents side of my family will be arriving tomorrow morning. I was unaware of this, and had I known I might have made plans to actually do something. Although this is unlikely since most of my friends are out of town.
Fortunately, two people (here and here) are in town and I was able to break pizza and be entertained by an odd juggling/Russian kick act. Quite amusing. We were also productive as our cars are all washed. 3 cars in a span of 30 min! Pretty sweet.

So being Christmastime and my family coming down for it, I went all out and bought a tree, decorations and present. Also I bought a bunch of pretty table settings and stuff. Then my parents informed me that we should BBQ this Christmas. I have no BBQ grill. I have never BBQ'd in my life. Sigh. I sent out an emergency request to my coworkers for help with getting a grill to my home. The response was suboptimal.
Luckily, Lasko has a PT Cruiser and Nicole kindly lent me Michael today for BBQ grill buying and assembly. I will probably get in trouble for that first sentence, for those who understand not jesting--well, that was a jest and also a semi-falsehood. Anyways, this thing was 16 steps long. 16 steps in assembly is very long. We made minimal mistakes and Michael, in my opinion, was quite speedy in assembling this. The manual said it would take NO MORE THAN 40 mins. Total clock time: 2 hrs and 10 mins.
These pictures make it seem easier than it is. Anyways, big props to Lasko for doing this. It was WAY more work than anticipated and there was minimal to no complaining. Much appreciated.
