A Tale of Two Cities

Anyways, see below for It's Time To Say Goodbye with Sarah Brightman. I can go on and on about how great tonight was, but what I really want to go on and on about is how strange it was to have been sitting in almost the exact same seats a few months ago to watch The Beyonce Experience. I had remarked at the time that I have never seen so much booty in one place EVER. Everyone was wearing tight jeans, glitter, LOT'S of BLING and being just ghetto-fabulous. JoAnn, Giang, Tony, and I felt a little--old? A little--unfabulous? We had a great time nevertheless.
Today at the Honda Center, I have never seen so much "opposite of bling" ever. Everyone was wearing nice, winter, classical concert clothes, there was red carpet on the floor, and people were holding glasses of red wine. Basically Sari and I (in our jeans and prairie skirt) never felt so--young? Unrefined? We had a great time nevertheless.
BTW, what type of music am I supposed to be listening to? I think I am missing my category. I am a woman with no country. A ship departed. Who am I?
A little bootylicious and a little Bocelli? I'll take it all.
While we left, I had an exit strategy all planned out. Sari, being somewhat convalescent as of late, could not drive. If you know me, you know I hate crowds so I told Sari--they will do Time To Say Goodbye as the last encore song. As soon as they finish BOOK IT! These old people have nothing on us! We parked at the other end of the far parking lot and we were virtually the first car out. Oh yeah. I won. So what if there was littered old people here and there and Sari was holding on to dear life? We won. WON!

I'm shocked you didn't mention the fact that our seats were PERPENDICULAR to the hot Italian and the screens. Did we not have the worst seats in the house? Still, though, it was an amazing show...auditorially... and yes, there was beer... lite...
