Simply Thankful
I'm just thankful this Christmas. Reflecting back on 2008 I realized I'm at a point in my life where I am just very content. I also know that this can change any minute in this volatile world we live in and so I simply am thankful for:
God who gives a reason for life.
My wonderful parents who constantly put their kids before their needs and have shows us to how love others.
My Refuge House which has given me a way for meaning in the things that I do. I am finally doing exactly what I want to be doing with my life, and even though it's hard and time-consuming, I love every single moment of it. I'm thankful for all the volunteers and hard-workers who put so much time and energy!
My fun siblings who have made a mess of my house and my fun brother-in-laws who tend to sleep or play guitar hero at random periods.
My friends who have just stood by me and add so much fun and spontaneity (I'm thinking of you nutty Japanese chick!).
My job (actual paying job) which has enabled me to get out of pharmacy hell and into a creative outlet. I actually love computer programming! It's so interesting!
Of course, last but not least, my wonderful boyfriend who surprises me constantly and is so caring and sweet. You made my year honey!
Okay, that was mushy, gross, icky and slightly bragging but I am feeling so thankful this year. I can't stop.
