Birdie

Reminded of this famous poem recently. I think I first read it in like 6th grade, but still a good one from Maya Angelou. At least the bird can sing. Kinda jealous of that little bird.

Exerpt from "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings"

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing

The caged bird sings with a fearful trill
of things unknown but longed for still
and his tune is heard on the distant hill
for the caged bird sings of freedom

My Niece

Time to be proud auntie and put some adorable pics of my niece...

This is me taking care of Sarah. Don't worry...I think someone with a camera was there making sure I don't roll over her or something. I actually was sleeping. Sarah wanted to play some more but then decided I was boring.

She is such a happy and pleasant little sleeper. This kid honestly is a good kid. She only cries when she's hungry and other times she's basically how she is in this pic. She's chill...not a Korean Drama Girl.

This is the proud grandpa with Sarah. The grandma kicked Proud Auntie off the bed and is now sleeping.
